Metal pipe railings are a specialty item which we began fabricating and installing as a way to control costs for a job which required railings with glass insert panels. We found it easier and more cost-effective to attach the glass retaining clips to the railings and subsequently fit the glass inserts to the railings in-house, as opposed to attaching the clips and making patterns for the glass inserts in the field. When the railing supplier could no longer meet the installation deadlines, out of necessity, we purchased the bending and coping equipment required to fabricate the remaining ones in-house, and completed the project on time. We continue to fabricate and install metal pipe railings, both with and without glass insert panels. A common application is in separating dedicated entrance and egress doors in vestibule-type settings.
